The people at the lantern, and how we work
Who writes these guides, what we check before publishing one, and what we will not do.
What we put on the screen
ZelKorVicQanix is an independent guide to six free browser games. Each game gets one page that explains what it is, how it is controlled, what is worth knowing in the first few minutes and who it suits.
We publish nothing else. No news, no rankings, no scores out of ten, no downloads, no accounts. The games themselves are on Poki, and that is where you play them.
Names on the programme
We do not have named authors to show yet, so everything here is signed ZelKorVicQanix editorial team. We would rather sign with the team than invent a person with a portrait and a biography.
When the operating company publishes its editorial roster, the names and roles will appear on this page and at the top of every guide.
What we do before writing
- 01We play itNot a trailer and not a description. The game itself, long enough to reach the part where it starts repeating.
- 02We write the controls by using themKey by key and gesture by gesture, then checked against what the game's own page lists.
- 03We record the same fields for all sixGenre, developer, devices, controls, session, account, age fit and last update — in the same order every time, so the six can be compared.
- 04We say the unflattering part tooEvery guide has a section for what to weigh. A game that repeats itself is described as a game that repeats itself.
We look at a game the way a lanternist looks at a slide: held up to the light first, in private, before anybody else has to sit through it.
We are not Poki, and not the developers
This site has no connection to Poki or to the studios that made these games. Nobody paid for a place in this collection, there are no affiliate links, and the links to Poki are plain informational links.
If any of that ever changes, it will be written on this page before it appears anywhere else on the site.
If a guide is wrong
Games change. Controls get remapped, modes get added, a studio updates something quietly. If a page here no longer matches what you see on screen, write to us: we will correct it and change the checked date at the top of the guide.
